Many have learned the basics of PLC Ladder Logic, uploading and downloading to the PLC and even making miner rung modifications with a prerequisite of no more than knowing what a normally open and a normally closed contact was. Because the PLC is a tool to make troubleshooting complex machinery supper simple, many can even learn PLC troubleshooting with the previously mention minimum prerequisites. But because mistakes, lack of understanding how the PLC interacts with the real world can lead to costly damage to man or machine, and individuals’ experience and learning abilities vary…
We highly recommend the Industrial Electrical Video Course below. In addition, the PLC is a highly reliable device, and most troubleshooting is not of the PLC its self, but instead the PLC leads you to what external industrial electrical device is cause the problem on the complex machinery. At that point the individual may need extensive Electrical Troubleshooting Training. So we also recommend standard and industrial electrical troubleshooting training as a perquisite to learning PLCs. Of course it is also highly recommended everyone have basics Electrical Safe Work Practices training as part of their PLC training prerequisite.
